Media art festival Aavistus brings together an exciting and diverse lineup of audiovisual and VJ art from Finland, the Nordics and around the world. The 2026 festival is centred around the theme "Attention, please!".

The festival pass includes access to all Aavistus Festival's ticketed events during the festival week from Wednesday, 30.9. to Sunday, 4.10.2026.

The WHS Theatre Union events on Wednesday 30.9., Friday 2.10. and Sunday 4.10. showcase a wide gamut of VJ art and sonic experimentation. Each event features three audiovisual live acts combining video art, music, and technology.

On Thursday, 1.10., Aavistus presents a screening of artistic fulldome films in the recently renovated planetarium of Science Center Heureka. The programme is complemented by the fractal animation film Recombination by Julius Horsthuis, from Heureka's dome film programme.

The Aavistus club night on Saturday 3.10. at Korjaamo Culture Factory presents an audiovisual club experience with a wide range of Finnish and international acts: VJs, DJs, lives, audiovisual and multidisciplinary performances.

The experimental video art screening at Korjaamo Kino presents video works from Finland and abroad.

The festival's free programme includes the Aavistus media art exhibition at the Helsinki City Museum, a media art programme for children in Children's town, projection mapping art, as well as talks and workshops.

PROGRAMME

The festival's programme, consisting of around 40 artists from 16 different countries, has been selected mainly via an open call and partly in collaboration with Nordic and Central-European partner festivals and media art networks.

Information on festival passes
With a festival pass, arrival to WHS Teatteri Union performances 15 minutes before the start of each show.

The festival pass guarantees entry to the Korjaamo event until 01:00 a.m. After that, there may be a queue.

The festival pass does not include the security fee (3.90€) for Aavistus club night in Korjaamo on Saturday 3.10.
