What happens when we pause to listen to our deepest desires—not only in the body but also in the mind and soul? Welcome to a weekend where you are invited to explore the many layers of desire, sensuality, and relational dynamics in a safe and conscious way.

The On Desire retreat is an invitation to curiosity, playfulness, and deep encounters. It is an opportunity to uncover hidden parts of yourself, explore attraction, express inner power, and surrender to what arises from genuine presence. In this workshop, Andy Buru guides participants on an inner journey into desire, attraction, and personal expression.

The weekend is held in a space where the sensitivity between choice, trust, and surrender can be explored safely and consciously. The work combines somatic practices, ritual structures, and playful encounters – offering an opportunity to be truly present with yourself and others.

This experiential journey opens layers that easily remain hidden in everyday life. Through roles, nonverbal interaction, and shared moments, a space arises where you can explore yourself from a new perspective. It’s not about performing, but about transformation – a permissive process where every experience is welcome as it is.

Andy Buru - one of the most sought-after facilitators in Northern Europe in the fields of body awareness and ritual interaction - comes for the first time to lead a full weekend retreat in Southern Finland. This is a unique opportunity to experience Andy’s deep and playful way of working, held in the inspiring setting of Knipnäs.

The weekend includes different dimensions:

- 40% ritual-based work

- 30% playful and celebratory interaction

- 20% somatic and sensitivity-based exercises

- 10% exploration inspired by rope and binding techniques

During the weekend, we will:

- Explore different aspects of desire through embodied exercises, solo, in pairs, and in groups

- Play with the energies of power and surrender in a co-created ritual space

- Create space for safety, curiosity, and vulnerability

- Participate in communal evening practices and possibly a closing ceremony

- Witness each other, be seen, and discover new parts of ourselves

You don’t need prior experience – only openness. You can come alone, with a friend, or with a partner. All practices are voluntary and offered with deep respect for individual boundaries.

Most exercises will be done in group or small group settings – not only in pairs. If you participate as a couple, it is good to know that you will often be encouraged to also work with others. This can be a powerful learning experience as a couple: to meet others, explore your dynamic together, and expand your shared experience.

Price and registration:

Super Early Bird until 31 August: €260, couples €240 per person

Early Bird until 30 October: €290, couples €270 per person

Regular price: €310, couples €290 per person

The price includes a non-refundable deposit of €80, which can be transferred to another person in case of illness. The remaining amount is paid closer to the event.

A handling fee by Biletti.fi will be added to the ticket price to ensure a secure and smooth ticket purchase.

Accommodation and meals: €195 per person, paid directly to Knipnäs.

Couples get a private room. Single room available with a €70 supplement.

About the facilitator – Andy Buru:

Andy Buru is a Swedish teacher who creates spaces where the body meets ritual, roles shift, and inner power can flow - without expectations or external pressure. He has a background in massage, performing arts, and various forms of relational exploration.

His workshops across Europe are known for offering a safe space to pause, surrender to different dynamics, and discover the deep sensitivity connected to temporary power.

His approach weaves precision, compassion, and playfulness. Andy holds space with great care, where vulnerability can be met, trust can be built, roles explored, and mutual energy felt—within a ritual structure where control and surrender coexist.

With over 15 years of experience, Andy is known for creating spaces where people can rest, renew, and encounter one another deeply. His work blends elements of European theater, the elegance of Japanese ritual, and meditative body awareness.
