Global Meltdown is a stand-up comedy show featuring two firebrand comedians, Abigail Paul and Kaisa Pylkkänen, who are fed up with the world's chaos. Take a TikTok timeout and watch these seasoned comedians tackle everything from global politics to everyday absurdities.

The show is entirely in English. Doors 7pm, showtime 8pm.

ABIGAIL PAUL

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, BBC Popcorn Award Nominee and wickedly dark comedy queen Abigail Paul is a “transformative talent” who “lights up the stage” (★★★★★, Theatre Weekly, 2023 – Edinburgh Fringe). Originally from Florida, a subject she has enjoyed making fun of all over the world, she has been called “thoroughly entertaining” and “totally electric,” as well as being hailed a standout at the Brighton Fringe (Brighton on the Inside, 2024 – Miss Communication). With excellent acting chops and a lifetime of performance experience, Abigail brings her cerebral and confessional comedy style to cities near and far, and is delighted to be making her debut comedy stop in Helsinki.

KAISA PYLKKANEN

As the shoemaker's kids go barefoot, award-winning comedian Kaisa Pylkkänen has no mental health or faith! On stage she is a walking oxymoron: a middle-aged teenager, an anarchist control freak, and an easy going feminist, who suffers from penis envy. Originally known for her work writing comedy and political satire for television, Kaisa Pylkkänen took up stand-up-comedy in 2010 and since then she has performed on several seasons of the popular TV-show "Stand up!" and also on "Komediaklubi", as well roasting politicians and TV presenters on primetime TV-shows Finland. In 2020 she was voted Comedian of The Year by her peers in Finland. Her international work includes performing at the Brighton, Reykjavik and Tallinn Fringe festivals, at the Hot Water Comedy Festival in Liverpool, the Laugh Riot Grrrl feminist comedy festival in Los Angeles, as well as doing gigs in 15 countries around Europe and the US. In her native Finland Kaisa has warmed up for comics like Jim Gaffigan and filled in for Olga Koch. When performing at the Finnish Club in Hollywood, it was ISMO, who opened for Kaisa.
