For the first time, Aavistus brings fulldome art films to the festival!

Aavistus and Dome Dreaming present a curated selection of four fulldome films involving audiovisual, synesthetic and perceptual illusions that trigger feelings of depth, motion and weightlessness:

The festival selection is complemented by Recombination by Julius Horsthuis from Heureka’s dome film roster and a panel discussion, Expanded Cinema and Fulldome Fallacies, moderated by Jonas Johansson of Dome Dreaming.

The fulldome programme is co-curated with Dome Dreaming, a fulldome film festival at Wisdome Stockholm and Malmö. It brings together international artists working at the intersection of cinema, music, and immersive technology, exploring the unique possibilities of the dome as an artistic medium.

Aavistus Festival is a biennial of audiovisual art and VJ culture in Helsinki, Finland. For the fourth time, Aavistus presents a selection of VJ and AV performers, media art, projection mapping, and more.
This year, all works will be presented under the theme "Attention, please!"
